| I was actually at war with myself trying to decide whether I wanted to do this dress for Ariel. It's not that I hate it, far from it actually, it's just this version of Ariel is EXTREMELY overdone. Every Ariel cosplayer has or will eventually do this version. That's why I didn't want to do it. But I got inspired by my friend Victoria who did this version for Halloween so I thought I would at least try it. >.> I ended up having a lot of fun making this costume, More than I should have XDD The top was made out of a very light cotton fabric, I ended up finding it by chance on a trip to Joann Fabrics XDD So I just kinda went with my gut and bought it ^^ The fabric is super fun to work with and It's perfect for warm days ^^ The skirt was made out of a turquoise stretch fabric, kinda like materials used in swimsuits ^^ The material was actually a lot thicker than I thought but the material likes to slide around on my machine...>.> so I had to go back and fix the panels a few times. XDD The corset I just got lucky with XDD I found it on Amazon for $30 XDD It was the perfect color and the perfect shape. So I had to go for it, finding that thing was tricky because I wanted the corset to be a nice navy blue. Not black, since it's more accurate to the film and I think the dress compliments the corset really nicely. ^^ I'm planning on debuting this for Mickey's Halloween Party at Disneyland this year ^^ I'm so excited, since I've never actually been to Disneyland in costume on Halloween before. Actually...scratch that, I've never been to any theme park in costume. So I'm super stoked for this ^^ | |

Progress :D (Posted 11th August 2012) Well so far my Blouse is done and my petticoat underskirt is done, So for now Ariel's about 90% done :D Just a few things left to do then it's done :D |

Allrighty my Bow finally came in (Posted 15th March 2012) I'm so happy with this bow. My friend Richard made it for me and I love this thing to pieces. It's alot bigger than I expected it to be, but whatevs XD I love it so much ^^ |

Corset (Posted 3rd February 2012) Ok...I found my dream corset out of the blue It's the perfect shade of navy blue :3 I don't know when I'll get it. Hopefully sometime this year |

Awww thanks. It looks navy blue in the film anyway and using a straight flash corset would look too awkward with the fabric I chose
