Okay, so this is my first cosplay. (unless dressing up as Amy Rose at age 7 counts) At first I was going to cosplay as Tenshi, but then I made the sensible decision of opting for someone whose cosplay is a little easier to make for someone just starting out.

I don't plan on wearing this to an event, (YET) but I love Youmu and I've been wanting to cosplay for a long time.

Wish me luck *_*

I gave up (Posted 1st October 2011)

The ruffels annoyed me too damn much >_>
Oh well. Lesson learned- make sure you have a sewing machine that works BEFORE you start to make your own cosplays.

These ruffles will be the end of me, I swear. (Posted 13th July 2011)

Mm-hm. The ruffles are all pinned and ready to be sewn. Half of them are already sewn, I just need to finish off.

I haven't worked on this in over a week due to lazyness, school getting in the way and lack of motivation. Sigh. I'll start work again when summer finally comes about.

No image this time, sorry.

Progress! (Posted 19th June 2011)

Look! Another one of those pictures that makes me look fat!

As you can see the skirt is all sewn up, hemmed and lovely. I've cut and ironed the material needed for the ruffels, so they'll be going on next. Then I'll paint on the swirly-whatsits, then clean it up, and then the skirt is doooooone~!

Am I getting overexcited over this, or is it just me?

In the mean time, enjoy looking at my messy bedroom floor.

Ah-hah... (Posted 12th June 2011)

My sewing machine's packed up on me. Remind me to never get a cheap ass portable mini sewing machine-THING ever again, because it probably won't work.

I'm probably going to have to sew the whole thing by hand, in this case. It can't be that hard, right? This is either going to be pain-stakeing or hilarious.

Other than that the fabric for the skirt is cut and pinned, and I've made a template for the swirly things on the bottom of the skirt.
