|Decided to cosplay thig character on a total whime. I've always wanted to do a TWEWY cosplay (I played my friends game of this and loved it) and I'm going to get it myself now. My friend XMoonLilyX did a journal of cosplays she's doing in the future and she wants to be Neku, she persaded me that I should be Rhyme. She's also putting a group together so go see her if you want to be part of it! She's totally cute and it's a easy costume to make, plus I love the design on her jumper :D|
Wig: Bought from eBay. I just searched for "Short blonde wig" and checked the seller was good enough.
Hat: Bought from eBay. Simply searched for a "black hat" and bought it.
Skull: I made out of Fimo (check the journal for reference). I moulded the Fimo using a few random tools I had for clay. I then threaded through a curved needle through the back of the skull. I then slowly cooked it in the oven for a short amount of time until it was hard. Then I painted the skull using acrylic white and black paint (using a black sharpie to clean up the black areas). Finally, once dried, I sewed the skull onto the hat using the holes I'd made at the back.
Bell: Again I made thing out of Fimo. Once it was all cooked I began to paint it. Part of the areas broke so I had to hot glue them. I then painted it with a gold colour. I had a little bell part from a toy bell and glued it onto the bottom so the bell rang. Finally I used a small, black elastic to use as the necklace part for the bell.
Jumper: I bought a plain (and very large) orange jumper from eBay. Once it'd arrived I created a stencil for it using A3 paper card. I did this by drawing out the pattern of the jumper onto it and cutting it out with scissors. I then used a lot of Dylon black fabric paint and painted it on. A good tip is to place something in-between the jumper so it doesn't leak through and give you an even surface. I placed some cardboard in-between. Once dry I ironed it.
Dungarees: I bought a pair of white ones from eBay, I think they were painters and decorators ones. I had to alter them a bit so they would fit. I added the grey detail on the front by adding grey felt onto it.
Shoes: These were originally Santa shaped slippers that I had got for christmas. I then cut them and added old duvet parts to create the shape of the shoe. I finally covered the shoes in the material that was needed (check my journal for help and pictures)

I started to make the second Rhyme boot today, it took less time becasue I knew what I was doing. I cut it up and then added the padded bits on. Just need to cover it now along with the other one. I need some sowing glue and thoughs hole thingys you get on your trainers to put the laces through lol. Might get these when I go out with Akuma on the 16th.

Well I did quite abit today for this cosplay, since I got bored of uni work. I cut and sowed the rest of the boot together but it doesn't look right, it needs more 'bulkiness' to it. Thankfully we have an old dovey which I can use for the top of the boot and the front thingy. Yes it sounds odd but I use everything I can get my hands on :D So far this cosplay have been free :D Plus I made the skull for my hat. I used some left over fimo and it turned out really good. Just need to cook and bake tomorrow.
