| Who doesn't love this guy!? He's a genius, an all around awesome character and has a pretty snazzy outfit going on. This is my first serious cross play but sadly, my big girly cheeks are going to destroy the illusion. I'll have a damned fun time anyway! My favourite thing is the beautiful red wool I found for his cape, 100% but a total steal at only £12 a metre, sounds expensive but not for this quality! Tunic: Made me want to repeatedly stab myself, I draughted the pattern from scratch and basically just fobbed my way through the whole process. I thought about embroidery for the design on his chest but then laughed at myself. I painted it instead. It doesn't look bad from afar but if you come into close, you can see it's a little asymetrical. But I'll get over it! Cape: Made of aformentioned gorgeous 100% red merton wool, I plan to actually sew the trim onto it by the expo but I may or may not make it! Sleeves: I cut five strips for each arm and sewed them onto the tunic and then performed some sewing wizardry by adding a cuff. I really don't know how I managed it because it was looking pretty hopeless a few days ago. Anyhoo, I best get on with it! Can't wait to wear it. And a beard. I've always wanted one! | |

Your painting looks great! Most people get it blotchy around the edges or uneven but yours is perfect! Good luck with the rest.
