|About the costume: Perhaps the first costume I've made where nothing broke or fell apart while wearing it (apart from a couple of ladders in the tights, but I'll ignore those...). Everything in pink was made from scratch, apart from the shorts, which are another pair of shorts covered in pink fabric. The white top is a plain white strappy top which I've then added to, and the sleeves were made from scratch. |
I've learnt from my Eve cosplay not to rely on long boots/leggings staying up themselves, and that body tape is useless at holding them up. I originally made some straps to hold the leggings, but later ditched them and instead attached them to a pair of see-through tights, which made moving around a lot easier, and meant that no straps were visible.
The most tedious but was probably sewing all the beads on, which I ended up doing twice just to make sure none of them fell off. The one thing I wish I could have done was to get a better gold trim for the skirt, one with points that looks more like hers, but after searching everywhere I couldn't find anything like it, so gave up and went with a plain one.
About the photoshoot: The photos are taken around my house, which unfortunately isn't very Italian. I've since found out that the tiler we hired refused to go onto the roof, saying that it was too dangerous and could collapse at any moment if someone went on it. Whoops.
I've also learnt something from this photoshoot. They could never set an Assassin's Creed game in England; all the roofs are far too steep.
