Okay, okay, I admit it - I'm a Transformers fan. I'm still sort of a newbie to the whole thing compared to some other fans, though, but that's not the point! The point is, I wanted to show my love for it in a truly epic way. :D So, I decided to make an Autobot patch for one of my bags! ...except when I finished it, I thought that it was a little boring to just put it on a bag. So, I thought, what else could I put a patch on? The next obvious answer was clothing. Wondering what I could do with this idea, I went onto the internet and saw that various fans had made their own Transformers-themed clothing. "Hey, that looks pretty awesome!" I thought, and so I decided to go right ahead and jump on the bandwagon. Obviously my clothing was going to be themed around Bumblebee, because he's my favourite character. <3 So, off to the shops I went, in search of a yellow jacket or shirt I could use! I was too damn lazy to make my own. 8D; Oh my god, it is so difficult to find a plain yellow top! I ended up buying a plain white jacket from Primark, and it had to be from the men's section because they didn't have any in the ladies' section! A plus point though, is that it's really big on me and therefore really snuggly. :3 Next was yellow fabric dye, and after much screaming of "OH MY GOD THERE'S A BLACK AND PINK SOCK IN THERE", it came out in the perfect shade of yellow. :D The black and pink sock, however, was not so lucky - the pink parts ended up turning red. XD Next came the stripes; I decided to use the stripes from movie!Bumblebee's car bonnet for the back of the jacket, and then I put two thin stripes on each sleeve. I made a second Autobot patch, and one was sewn onto each shoulder. Finally, I decided that the front looked a little plain, and decided to make a patch using the Bee-Otch picture on the air freshener that movie!Bumblebee has. All in all, I'm really pleased with how this has turned out! I love wearing it out and about.
