| This costume went down a treat. I've never seen a Vivi cosplay before (except online) and Vivi is one of my faves so I loved making it. Sadly the sewing machine bust after my last costume so this one was done entirely by hand! The hat was probably the biggest challenge - I used a kind of straw-like fabric and then stiffened it with PVA glue which worked perfectly. I used fabric paint for the stripes on the trousers and jacket cuffs, and the mask was made out of a stretchy black fabric with a bit of netting sewn right at the top so I could see! I also cut several tiny holes in the front - they didn't look pretty but otherwise I was afraid I would pass out. I was overwhelmed by the response to this costume. Every few minutes I got stopped for photos, hugs, or just to say hi. One guy even cried on me (due to a sad part in Vivi's story which I won't go into here). Vivi's now going into hibernation for at least a year, but he'll definitely be back!!! | |

I saw you too! Pretty sure I have a decent shot of your outfit. Once I've sorted through my photos I'll let you know. I was cosplaying as Tseng from Final Fantasy VII.
