Description
Edit: to be worn again Sunday of May expo 2012 So this was my first big challenge cosplay, purely for materials I was working with and that this was the first time I was properly trying to make armour. There were a surprising amount of details in this costume, most of which I didn't notice until I studied the reference pictures I'd found. I actually quite enjoyed working which the pleather and it was a lot easier to work which than anticipated. The Jacket however had to made twice (luckily I brought extra material) As the first one I'd made was too short and didn't allow for hemming. (This was a reallllllly stupid thing for me to do xD ) I found the armour making fun and only really had trouble with the shoulder guard as it curved over a lot, this was easily solved by snipping a few triangle into the craft foam. The Wig was fairly was and basic to style, I also added in some darker roots to the wig to make it more accurate to the character using a sharpie pen. The sword was another difficulty, the first one I tried to make 'Brotherhood' failed. It failed hard. So that was quickly disposed and the new sword was born! I did enjoy myself making this sword and even added a bubble want as the handle as the characters specialitly is water ;) The new way of binding was interesting too, but oddly comfy and stayed on all day with me getting any sores. Taking it all off though was a different matter laughs Not really sure what else to put :P Entered in the May 2011 Masq (my first :) )
