|I have only seen two episodes of the TV series, and not yet read any of the books.|
But that has been enough for me to fall in love with this character!
He just WINS!
also I have a slight crush on the Actor who plays him, Harry lloyd (PHWOAR!)
Having watched the show weekly (now rewatching it all) and having read pretty much all the books (currently making my way through 'A Dance With Dragons') I am still keen, even more so in fact, to do this costume.
Planning to have it done for october expo, and want to get it as close to perfect as possible!

Improvements Mark 1! (Posted 10th April 2012)
I wanted to improve this costume before I wore it to Kitacon this weekend. Unfortunately I don't have the time or the resources to make his little sword and dagger (something I intend to make later on, for next wear)
Starting the coat (Posted 19th October 2011)
I have now managed to sew together the majority of the coat.
I have got the bodice and tails sewn together, and the lining for both parts also sewn together.
Fabric GETS! (Posted 19th October 2011)
Okay thanks muchly to the help of various cosplayers and also a scouring of Fabricland in Brighton I finally managed to score some fabrics for this costume last week.
Wig is bought! (Posted 10th September 2011)
Okay so I now have the wig!
I have attached an image of the wig from the ebay auction so you can get an idea of what it looks like. I think it's perfect for his style of hair, and colour. Really pleased with it! Many thanks to Nocturnal-blossom for helping me find it! XD
Beginning and planning! (Posted 4th September 2011)
With expo only 2 months away, and me wanting to get this costume down absolutely as perfect as I can (I love this character and the house, and the whole series so much it has to be perfect!) Im getting started on this early.
First off is the wig! I have, with much help from Nocturnal-blossom, hopefully tracked down a wig I can use for Vizzy!
Another potential problem we have encountered (myself and nocturnal-blossom, who will be cosplaying as my IC sister, Daenerys Targaryen!) is that they both have these beautiful dragon emblem broach pins, which unfortunately we have not been able to see for sale, and so we have to make them!
OH THE HORROR! we have never done anything like this before so it's a whole new void of wonder!
Though after searching around on cosplaytutorial.com I may have found some clay or casting solutions which look quite simple so I will be testing them out soonish I hope!
The only thing I now have to decide on is what type of fabric to use and also how the Targaryen house emblem, the three-headed dragon, is done on his tunic. I have a variety of ideas but Im going to sit and watch the series all over again to try and work it out. Oh such a shame *lesigh* I will have to watch all 10 episodes of season 1, I am 'GUTTED' lol. Also been watching a load of behind the scenes footage for close ups and full body scans of the outfit which have been really helpful.
