That gauntlet looks ace! What did you make it out of?

i just made a lycra glove, then cut out all the pieces for the gauntlet out of craft foam, warped it with heat, glue gunned it to the glove, spray painted it, then glue gunned the raised areas, then painted the glove brown and cut out sections :) now i have to do it all over again /sob

gauntlet looks very nice, and your makeup test is cute! While you may not have the rugged look of a man, you could pull of some boyish features and make a very attractive Fenris. Beware the fangirls. ;)

haha damn i dont want to be cute :P i will be trying to improve the make up anyway, i didnt define the contouring enough. but thank you. and hopefully i will have a big sword to fend them off :D

Oh I have to get a picture of you as Fenris at Aya if that's ok!! The gauntlet looks great! As soon as I saw Fenris in DA2 I thought, "I'd love to see someone cosplaying as him" he's such a cool character.

Did you make the chest out of craft foam also? I need to try this craft foam It sounds like a pain. Im curious to how you are going to do his lyrium veins I can see you up early painting them on. Uv paint would be epic!

Progress looks really nice. You worked wonders with the craft foam and paint..it looks like metal to me. What paint did you use for the silver metallic effect?

Makeup test - actually I think you could pass for a boy. I think it is more to do with age difference. Im not sure how old Ferris is meant to be but as boys turn into men they slowly loose their soft edges, so yeah more angular contouring should help..I would defo try out some 5 oclock shadow too, for extra manlyness. ;)

L4dyPaiNe_X - yes its craft foam, its really easy to use so it wasnt a pain at all. i swear by this tutorial : http://www.entropyhouse.com/penwiper/costumes/helmsdeep.html
Ranma1-2- i didnt use any special paint, i spray paint it with a metallic spray (wonderful stuff), then i just weather it with acrylics. i will attempt another make up test when i get some body paint to make myself darker and try what you said :) thank you.
Cpt.Wakka - haha feel free to steal me! i will be rewearing Fenris a few times.
FusionRose - my secret is im secretly a blacksmith :P
direngrey - i dont usually keep track of costs, but it has cost me around £40 excluding the wig. and it has taken 2 months of working on it now and again.

Ranma1-2 - no problem! i usually get mine from Wilkinsons, im not sure if its cheaper then Homebase.

Also for your armour did you only do the one layer of fabric underneath to strengthen it?

dont be silly! we were damn sexy. i did layer any fabric underneath it to strengthen it. i coated it in so much pva it didnt need anything else, although i did back the chestplate with some thin cardboard.
