| I don't understand why Final Fantasy VIII is so underrated, it's one of the finest games in the series! When first introduced, Edea is portrayed as a cruel, sadistic woman. You meet her properly in Deling City, where Squall and his party are tasked with assassinating her. The attempt fails, and Edea responds with a vicious attack. You encounter her again later on, and upon defeating her in battle, you discover that she was in fact possessed by Ultimecia, a malevolent sorceress from the future. Edea is actually a gentle, loving matron who cared for children at her orphanage. I love this woman, she's elegant, mysterious and badass! | |

And we're off... again! (Posted 8th February 2012) Yeah, so given that the hotel staff broke my headpiece before I could even wear Edea to Expo, I've had to start over. Here's some progress that you've already seen. This time I wrapped layers of tin foil around my head, so that I could take it off and apply mod roc to that, rather than my head wrapped in cling film (because ugh, never again). It worked really well! I had to use a lot of foil so that it didn't distort under the weight of the mod roc. I've decided to remake the dress as well, not happy with the current one at all. |

I'm so glad to see you're doing the full gradient on the dress! Many Edea cosplayers leave that detail out. Yours looks excellent and the dress has a great shape to it as well.
