Whoo, boy ^^" This entire costume has been a big giant learning experience for me. It's my first costume I ever did via sewing machine. and I'm proud of the way it turned out in the end besides some of the awkward stitching >.> The skirt was some violet satin I found while scouring through Yardage town months ago. My sewing teacher helped me cut and pin everything, I did all the machine work. I had to finish it solo since my sewing teacher was working at the Del Mar Fair at the time, and to tell you the truth I was scared to finish it alone. But i did it. and It turned out beautifully. :3 I couldn't be any more proud. All the detailing on the skirt itself was painted on via fabric paint. I spent weeks drawing the design out on paper and researching it. Took me a while too. For the center panel, i didn't want that floral pattern as seen in the film, seeing as I had to paint every little detail by hand and my wrist would have been BURNING if I did. So I did somethng different with mine, I incorporated the magic flower in my costume. I painted it out with Sparkling eye make up and evened it out with brushes along the center. (BLAME TEH FANART, it gave me the inspiration) >.> The corset top was one I bought from Ebay and clipped all the bows along the bottom and added a pink lace trim. The sleeves and camisa-like undershirt were made by myself. The wig was the biggest hassle of the entire costume O.o. I had to buy two wig, the first one got messed up after packaging so we couldn't braid it, and the second one was the one I ended up using, it came already braided. :P There's a tiny thing about the wig that's very hard to notice. thoughout the entire braid I have some very small shimmery highlights there, they catch the light quite well. I wanted to capture her magic hair in my wig somehow, so yeah. it works >.<. I love this costume so much! It makes me feel pretty ^^ and it magically takes me photogenic ^^ I had so much fun in this costume. I litterally got mugged by kids! :D SO many parents asked me to take pictures with their child which I was happy to do. ^^ I felt like one of those Disneyland face characters ^^
