| I just started this costume 21/7. I really wanted to make a 1960's batgirl costume and I think I have the skills to do it now and actually pull it off. ---- Updated 8/8/08 I bought all the various bits I need, Now I am waiting for them to arrive! I have the fabric for the cape now so will be starting on that this weekend! I have the belt done, except for the pouches which I am going to make out of leather. Finding the purple boots is pretty hard! ----- Finished costume 25/10 the night before the expo! | |

Finishing off (Posted 25th October 2008) Well, As is usual for me, I'm last minute doing bits for the costume. The cape is finally done and it's time to START the cowl - I'm in the masquerade tomorrow and I need to leave in four hours, but I've made a start! It should be fine, but it's a lot harder than I'd imagined. Attached is a pic with me wearing the prototype cape and a few bits of costume a couple of weeks ago. I'm off to get my hair dyed now! |

Belt Pouches (Posted 14th October 2008) I finally made the pouches for the bat-belt. I made them from foamy stuff, I was originally going to make them from upholstry leather but they didn't look right. The cheapest is often the best! |

I may well do! I've made a few changes and made it better...Not sure if I have any pics of the improved version at the moment. I'm not too much into wearing the same costume twice though!
