Description
Well let me begin with...I don't like Elfen Lied. Had huge hopes after the first ep and well quite frankly after that was totally let down, didn't like the progression of the story at all. However that scene completely rocked my tiny little brain back when I watched it (shame the rest of the anime didn't live up but anyhoo!) and the scene had always stuck with me so I really wanted to do it. Well here's trying... (Update! Been told the manga is better, going to give it a go =p)

i love the helmet how did you make it? True shame the story of Elfen lied did die down but it was a twisted tale especially the bit with the kids and pup

Haha it's my cheeky 'naked when viewed from a distance' trick ! ;D I thought it would be funny to watch people gasp then be like oh thank god she's not! Bwahahaha thank you now I know it works ;3!

And thank you it's made out of foam floor tiles =3. Me and my dad worked on this (he enjoys a project bless him!) and he very nearly messed it up when I was out one day...but we salvaged it! It's basically heated and manipulated into shape then just hot glued, first time I've tried it and it works so well =).

Thanks ^_^ and yeahh I've never done armour before and had nooo idea how to go about it at first but got some good advice! I've seen the helmet online once but mainly half helmets as people go for the bandaged Lucy with the broken helmet cosplay. It looks good and I thought of doing it but I just looove the full helmet =D c'est delicious!

whoa. awesome work with the EVA floor mats. That's what I've been using for my mechs and hardsuits.
I know this is probably a bit late now, but for sealing, I've been using this - http://www.clasohlson.co.uk/Product/Product.aspx?id=161151736 - Clearcoat/Topcoat. Quite cheap too, and a semi decent alternative to Mr Super Clear.
Looking forward to seeing more of your work ;)

ps, you probably have loads of EVA left, but if you ever need to buy anymore, I recommend going on fleabay and searching for "wrightbuyers". Myself and another cosplayer on this site have bought many a mat from there, and never had any problems with them or their delivery methods.

My pleasure. ;)
As for my Strike Noir, I actually used Foam/MountBoard for almost everything. It only survived the first day of expo, because I used a cheap mini hot glue gun to bind everything together, instead of the chunky one they used at the expo. Since then, I've been working on flexibility, hence the EVA floor mats. MUCH more durable, AND comfortable to wear as well ;)
Good luck with your future armor projects. Looking forward to seeing more ^__^
