Yer.. Been away (Posted 5th November 2011)

Well since starting Uni once again i've been major busy with my project.. which surprisingly the first being the biggest one of the year ¬¬. Thanks very much college.

The channelling is taking me awhile as, I started and ended up drawing both parts all the same and not mirror'd so.. had to redo them all ^^ haha. That's tiredness for ya. So far the arms and shoulders are the furthest completed with the legs following behind. Hopefully done today to a degree of primed and channelled.

Anyway thats all for now :]

So Far (Posted 14th June 2011)

So i completed the jet pack and marked it all for the panel lines, though i've got to wait a new Scalpel and some blades to complete this sadly pay day is in 14 days ¬¬ so that's a lot of waiting around. Apart from that i got to source my paints and gesso So on with that i image.

Most Parts (Posted 6th June 2011)

So most parts are now constructed with the base parts being done, now i ordered my foam, strapping and L Brackets as well some flat brackets to add more stability.

The details i've been going over panel lines and theres two ways either cut in with a scapel and remove the the first card layer and foam and then spray the recess/paint the recess black. Then mask over and paint the Remainder. Or Draw on in a thick line with a Paint or something then add highlights to the edges to give it that depth. "/ Time to decided think i'll do some samples first.

I've been away ^^ (Posted 5th June 2011)

Yup i've been away so much other things going on plus funds being little next to nothing from work i have rare time to work on this, So i picked my VF-1D to be the main one as people make a lot of transformer costumes so i decided something different, I ordered my Foam Board and got to work so far cut and stuck together:

Lower Legs
Thighs
Chest Without Nosecone
Back Plate

Only have 4 boards left so i'll probs move onto shoulders now as backpack can wait :] It pretty much looks like the card model but smooth and shiny and no tape ^^

Updated (Posted 22nd March 2011)

So most people don't know what robotech was but it was badass for it's time, basically around 1986 along with transformers this was run on TV in America. Sadly i had one tape of it which was blue and would watch it over and over. Well anywho this is my Veritech don't know why i chose the trainer model, first one i saw i guess when i was young. Others will come shortly i guess.

So the jet pack and wings are mocked very standard i dont do the details on the mocks i mark them in pencil but thats about it like grills etc..

So anyway the arm system allows me to rotate and bend all my arm and shoulder joints. This took awhile to work out but it works a treat :] so i'm enjoying that flexible option :]

Whats left now the head and gun pod :]

So for the head that'll be tomorrows project or the other arm i might make both legs and thighs so i can see what it looks like fully made oh and i need a black morph suit for the undersuit :] thats all :]

So Far.. (Posted 20th March 2011)

Well i started merely the otherday Friday i believe possibly. Then saturday i was in a cba mood but today watching old school Robotech it made me kick into gear :]

The chest panel and back panel are done and ready to be marked for measurements for when foam arrives.

Legs are done and ready too.

Left to do
Shoulders
Arms
Head
Wings
Jet Pack
Gunpod

Should be fun.
