|Mmm, fourth costume up and I'm not sure if it's worth boring people with ... but just in case you're interested!|
I liked the return to cuteness! Cute characters are so much fun. People seems to rather like my ears ^.^
Now onto the moaning.
Wig was naaaasty. Luckily in most of the pics I've seen it looks okay but it was SO cheap! It had no elastic so I had to sew it to fit my head :0 you could see the lines at the back and it was badly cut. I thought it wouldn't be a problem as the hood would cover it all. However it meant even when I was dying in the heat I couldn't take it off because I'd look like a washed-out gingger version of the girl off lazytown.
I put card in the white bits in the boots to give them shape but it meant I couldn't squat to the floor which was very inconvenient for the dealers room! Damn their floor boxes!
Hoop kept bumping into ... everything and I kept stabbing my fiance in the eye with the ears.
Other than that it was all fine and dandy - I made the sleeves too short, but ho hum. The shoes managed to hold together, which was a relief!
My dad made the staff all by himself - I think it looked quite nice n.n plus was my first ever prop. He's good with electronics - it lit up! It's a shame it was impractical to take it to the parties - I coulda waved it around a bit! If anyone's interested, he's offering his talents out. You can contact him (Bruce) on 07902 232 142, or just message me and I'll pass it on.
Last note! Like the bloomers? :D I took inspiration from my sugar cosplay. I knew people would be able to see up the skirt at some point so I decided to hide my modesty with some comfy, frumpy shorts!
