his was one of the hardest and most challenging cosplays I had ever made. The most difficult was making the actual skirt. I had several attempts on making the skirt, in the end, I opted to use toy stuffing and metal hooping. The metal hooping was used to keep the shape of the skirt and the toy stuffing was used to fill out the skirt.
It was quite heavy and in order for the skirt to stay on, I used a backpack clip and thin strapping to hold the skirt up and the only way to walk in it was to take pigeon steps.
The top was the easiest and it was the first time I had embroidered the top. The wings was another challenged. I originally wanted to make the wings out of fabric and used batting. In the end, I used chicken wire and a metal clothes hangar to hold the shape. Batting was used to cover the chicken wire then I handsewn the purple fabric around it. I then encountered a few problems which was where to position the wings, as on the figure, the wings are mounted on her back. I decided to mount the wings on top of the pumpkin skirt and using fabric to cover as much wire as possible.
