| FFIX is by far my favourite FF. :> I have a weakness for huge flowing gowns and sparkly accessories, so this costume is just purrfect to me. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Okay, so I purchased the fabrics and pattern for this dress nearly a year ago, and only a couple of weeks ago did i actually get round to starting it xD This is a huge project, and a good challenge. I have completed the base dress and my cat very generously hacked up a hairball onto it, so i need to wait for it to be cleaned until i can get down to the fun fun task of embroidering it. My initial plan was the embroider the vine pattern on my machine, but I decided I didn't like the way it came out, so I'm going to embroider it entirely by hand, and so far, I'm actually quite enjoying it! If I can get it embroidered in time, I'll be adding some beading into the dress too. Love making this dress. I've always wanted to own it. Even with just the base dress, I feel like a real princess. But I think I'll need someone to help me with the rather long train it has. I'm going to be wearing it all day Sunday, and to the Kitacon prom, so I will need to practice dancing in it. :) | |
