| I'm trying to use my White wig as much as I can seeing as it was £15! Sooo expensive~ This is awesome an opportunity to be the first Fortune Quartz cosplayer on both cosplay.com and CI... something tells me someone's gonna beat me to it on c.com though but hey! Fell in love with Mistress Fortune the moment I read the first chapter, and surprise surprise it's another Arina Tanemura manga! One day I'll do Fortune Tiara as well just for the sake of it xD UPDATE 29/07/08 Bought some looooovely blue cotton jersey today, £3.01 per metre! Bargain!! Made the base of the top, it took a while to make it feel fitted but I got there eventually! [Well actually it only took 15mins but it felt ages for me since I was constantly running around trying to find where I last put the tape measure!] Not I have to hem it, buy some white bias binding for the edges and get some white fur 8D, yaay! Fur! 8D Oh yeah, wig came today! Yaaay! It's so sooooft 8D *strokes it* UPDATE 16/07/08 Okay so I reeeally shouldn't be online right now due to coursework due in soon so I'll make this snappy! Got pair of white trousers, w00t! Well technically I don't have them yet but they're on its way! XD Now to decide on what fabric to use for the top, I'm leaning towards cotton but for some reason it may look good with velvet too! Decisions decisions~~ I get to make my first pair of wings, Yay! <3 And if I don't make this costume for this Summer then it'll be done for next year for sure! It's an Arina character afterall X3 | |

23/11/08 - Start of wings! (Posted 2 Months Ago) Yes, rubbish webcam shot is attached =P Ouchie! Chicken wire scratches all up my arm X_x I still haven't learnt to protect myself from chicken wire yet lol... Copper tubing was bent into shape, kinda bent one corner too far but stopped before it became fragile so it's still pretty sturdy. I consider myself to be very lucky lol. I duct taped a small piece onto the 'U' shape for added sturdiness. Chicken wire was then cut into shape and duct taped onto the copper tubing, *counts scars* I have over 6 scars just on my right hand, small and large. Ouchie ;__; Will add wadding and feathers when I find my PVA brush and hot glue gun XD Time Taken - pfft, i dunno. 1hr? I kept on redoing the copper tubing shape and it took me ages to cut the chicken wire and avoid getting scratches [lol didn't work...] |
