Description
So my secret cosplay was revealed at Kitacon lol. And it was Viola from Eternal Sonata :D I wanted to cosplay her before i'd actually played the game as i thought the costume was simply lovely and i loved the fact that she has such a huge bow and arrow (Sort of works with my username lol) Then i played the game and she's a really cool character :D I mean she's a female character in a JRPG that can match the men in attack power. The costume was in planning for a very long time as i researched how to style wigs, find the right fabric and try to understand how to put it all together. However making it all took place over about four weeks, however with univeristy assignments, this was probably more like two weeks in time. I went for more natural looking fabrics as she is a shepherd and therfore wanted to use no satin or obnoxiously bright colours, hence the colours being slightly darker than the artwork. All the ribboning on her is cotton tape that has been dyed varying hues of brown to match with where they feature on her. My fave part of the costume has to be the wig and the bow. I haven't made a weapon in ages and it was a lot of fun to carry it round with me. And i just adore the wig. I have never gone near a wig to style it as i fail at styling my own hair, let alone synthetic stuff. But i really wanted to make this costume myself so got stuck in with it and i can safely say it is possibly one of the hardest things i've ever done, but i was so proud of the results :D I will definately be rewearing this outfit at the May Expo with possibly a few modifications to it. I'd also love to make an Arco plushie to carry around with me ^_^
