celery (Posted 14th May 2011)
after the failure of varnished celery and fresh celery. I decided to make salt dough celery and hopefully it will last longer than the previous types.
update (Posted 20th March 2011)
finally got round to sewing the binding onto the jacket. made a hat band out of ribbon. sewed ribbon and binding onto the polo shirt. sewed one of the fake pocket flaps onto the jacket. Then the sewing machine decided it didn't want to do any more, so I guess I'll hand sew for a bit and then hope for the best.
still need to embroider the ? onto the collar of the polo shirt, and resew the buttons
decisions (Posted 13th February 2011)
so a few of us decided to set up a Dr Who cosplay group in the Leeds area. I know I still want to cosplay Novice Hame, but I thought.... hmmm.... a Doctor could be fun, but which one... decided on the 5th. I kinda grew up watching the 5th, 6th and 7th. So it had to be one of those.
Today I'm trawling ebay looking for suitable components for my outfit. these trousers were found, but now I've bought braces, I'm gonna have to sew buttons to the trousers to attach the braces to. The shirt is gonna be fun to find, what with it being a different colour on the inside. Cricket jumper should be fairly easy to find, but again will need altering to remove the coloured strip from the bottom, which is all I can find. Will trawl charity shops tomorrow to see if I can find a suitable long jacket, and then buy binding tape.
