| For the biiig Green Lantern group at May Expo 2011! GREEN LANTERNS LIGHT! After wanting to do this for about 2 years it seems the day is finally coming closer! I've put a bit of thought into this and rather than commissioning it, which was my original intention, I'm actually going to make most of it myself. I decided on Satin Backed Dupion of the Mantle and Skirt, and now need to find a slightly lighter fabric for the details and boot covers. I also wont be sticking 100% to the design- I'm not cutting my bodysuit into a strapless design because it would be totally unsuitable for my body shape. Instead I'm staying covered. It's not a big change but it's something I can work on in the future instead. The biggest pain is making my skin that Orange-Yellow-Golden colour that hers is! I've bought fake tan to play with, and I'll also pick up some snazaroo on the cheap to test too. Most importantly I forked out for some Ben Nye sealant, so I hope it's worth it. | |

Skin Colour (Posted 25th May 2011) So. I've been struggling quite a bit trying to match Arisia's skin tone for my costume. She's not brown but not yellow but not quite Orange. What I've opted to do, is apply my washable light matte fake tan, then add gold snazaroo on top, sealing it with Ben Nye spray. It isn't perfect but I'm running out of time and pennies Haha :) |

Boot covers, I forgot! (Posted 20th May 2011) I forgot to mention that I've spent most of today making boot covers! Derp. |

Gorgeous stuff! I am such a fan girl of your cosplays :-P That green fabric is beautiful too!
hay, sorry to spam and I dunno if you're planning on doing this costume (which is epic btw!!!) to May expo but there's a Batman/DC meet up on Saturday and it'd be awesome if you could come??

if you know anyone else that might be going that'd be interested please direct them to the forum post. Thanks!
Thanks for the invite, but I'm a bit offended by the copy/pasted compliment (seems a bit disingenuous if I'm honest) so I'll leave it. I'm full for May anyway so it's just as well!
