Costume Information

I have been meaning to put these up for a while...Seto Kaiba is my favourite anime character...maybe favourite character in general. I want to cosplay all of his outfits eventually.

The season 1 outfit doesn't seem that hard to do...I just need to find the right colours, which may be a bit tricky. The coat should be easier to do than his other coats so I may start with this one first.

Oooh the coat is looking wonderful so far ^^ and mmm about the shirt you could always get a white shirt, dye it green and unpick where the collar sits - then you could create a high collar pattern for Seto - not sure if this advice helps but I'm gonna like the end product of this ^^

I'm not entirely sure how I missed this earlier, but the coat is looking wonderful and comfortable as well.

You made an awesome Kaiba!! Everything about this was very well done <3 I love how the coat floats in the wind but wish it was stronger to get some more epicness with the jacket XD

Buy Fabric For Coat£7.25Bought

About 70% Complete (Posted 24th March 2012)

I wanted to get this to look right and it has taken some time. I have uploaded a WIP of what I have done so far. I am so proud of my trousers...they look great and they fit. I just need to do the belt loops on them now and they are complete.
The coat had to be re-made as it didn't look right before and it looks better now but still needs to be finished, which fingers crossed will be done today ^_^
The shirt is major WIP as it still looks a mess but I hope to get it done in time for Kita ^_^

Updating (Posted 15th February 2012)

This hasn't been worked on for so long but deciding to bring it to Kita so it needs some work now. I have remade the coat as the other one was rubbish...using a pattern this time so it fits better ^_^

Making the shirt and trousers also as I found the closest fabric I could find for these in my blankets cupboard...the green isn't as dark but it's the best I could find and I love the shade. It also goes with the coat very well ^_^ Hoping to get started on those soon

UPDATE (Posted 4th July 2011)

I just thought I would update people with this outfit as the coat is about 80% complete and it's looking proud of it at the moment but as I have said before the shirt needs another dye and I need to get a white pair of suit trousers to dye them too...but I can see it all coming together and at the moment I like what I see...fingers crossed.

I have been meaning to go into town for days now to get everything for binding so I can see what it looks like on, but I will hopefully get round to it tomorrow. I hope to get this finished within the month.

dying shirt - part 1 (Posted 30th June 2011)

I decided to dye one of my shirts yesterday and the green is lovely but it's way too light...I should have left it in the dye longer I think but I will redye it but not until I get a pair of white trousers so I can dye them the same way...I don't want the colours to be wrong so I will do everything in stages, but knowing my luck it wont turn out that way

Working Again (Posted 25th June 2011)

Im not sure why but I have an urge to work on this outfit...going to try and get the green colour looking right today I hope...I have a shirt that I think could work for Kaiba but if that fails, I have recently found out there is a shop in my town that does outfits so I can ask them maybe. my main concern with this outfit is getting the greens to match with the shirt and trousers...

I need more fabric for the coat but I think I will be able to get that finished today or tomorrow as I have had practise with coats now and it does look easier than Joey's coat.

I hope to make this look as accurate as I can, the same as all of my Kaiba outfits as he is my overall favourite character so it's only natural that I want to get it 100%

Working on The Coat (Posted 1st March 2011)

I have blocked out the main body of the coat...I just need to pin it and make sure it fits correctly...then I will sew it all together. Then I need to work on the sleeves and attach them.

But the only problem I have with this outfit and that is the shirt and it's collar is unique so I don't think I will be able to use a normal shirt. I will look into it though and see what I can do.
