Description
I love Morrigan.

I actually love all the DA cast (with the exception of Oghren who stopped being funny and just became gross in Awakening, and anders who stopped being Awesome after awakening and became a pain in the ass in DA2...)

But Morrigan in particular I've always liked.

She's a stone cold Snow Queen, but she's got a heart in there somewhere - and aside of that she's quite handy on the team!

Her costume is a little.... more revealing than I'd like admittedly, but other cosplayers have pulled her off beautifully without looking slutty, so why can't I?

Commissioned by GodSaveTheQueen Fashions - who are without a doubt the best supplier I've had the pleasure of buying from.

That skirt looks fabulous. Really perfect and accurate too.
Sad to hear your group has fallen apart (that's happened to me on numerous occasions with groups I've organised, it always sucks and is upsetting!) Still, I hope you and your Zevran can get everything together. It'd be great to see some Dragon Age cosplay in the UK. :]

Thanks for your comment on my dalish elf btw. There are a few photos now. There's a big DA group at London MCM in May. If you're interested, there's a Facebook group so I can add you to it if you want.

Completion (Posted 31st March 2012)

Costume is complete and should be arriving soon!

Pics to come shortly!

Progress (Posted 10th October 2011)

I see now that I was wrong to put my faith in an eBay wig supplier.

So, now I'm going to buy a black ponytail extension, a donut bun mold and hope it works out.

Staff - it comes apart in the middle so it can fit in my luggage so I'm not wandering around with people thinking I'm wielding some kind of Amazonian spear.

Going to add paint to the wood effect to make it look a bit more wooden and scuff the horn to look more like the ref image.

GRR!! (Posted 26th July 2011)

So, my Morrigan wig is officially destoryed.

My feelings on the matter can be summed up with the picture I have provided.

Wig = Completion? (Posted 20th May 2011)

Well, I've decided to put my faith in an Ebay Cosplay wig supplier.

Their wig images are beautiful, and they have a rating of 99.6% but I'm still a wee bit apprehensive.
A friend of mine once bought cosplay items from Ebay and wound up receiving a complete mess. That said, I've bought from "proffessional" suppliers through their own websites before to receive a complete mess so I guess I shouldnt be so quick to judge as it's Ebay...

With the purchase of the wig, it officially renders Morrigan's outfit paid for (at least until import tax violates my bank account when they arrive...)

I've actually just looked at how much I've spent on this thing over the months and near vomited. Granted it's been paid in small installments, it's been a helluva price and is easily my most expensive cosplay to date.

Lets hope when it arrives and we put it together it'll have been worth it.

Alrighty (Posted 21st April 2011)

Most of the costume is in order just a matter of getting it over here.

After that it'll be time to start thinking about wigs. My own hair is far too thin to accomodate her bun (sob) and even if it where my hair styling ability is something to be desired...

I'm considering either Solgoo.com (they did an amazing job with my sister's Rise cosplay wig) and there is a certain ebay store that does great wig work - I've yet to to decide.

It looks like we might have a small DAO cosplay group going ahead after all, I've spoken to an interested Leliana who knows someone else who might be interested in joining, so mayhaps photoshoots will go down after all. We found some areas that where near perfect for the Breciliian Forrest down in Lanark.

We also got some images of Al's Zevran wig, I'd post them but he'll likely post them himself when he gets home from work.

Disaster! (Posted 27th February 2011)

My Dragon Age Origins group has disbanded (only Morrigan and Zevran left :( )and the stitching has fallen apart in the skirt!!

Al and I are hoping we can save the skirt with a hotglue gun before getting back to figuring out the rest of the costume.

What hurts right now is that we had intended to travel the country for photoshoots resembeling areas in the game, and had we not had enough participants, I wouldnt have poured what's going to be nearing £1000 into the project, and now it feels as though that amount of money is going to waste.

Anyone else in DA costume wants to hook up as a DAO cosplay group, let me know! We have a Morrigan and a Zevran - any character is welcome!
