Planning (Posted 11th April 2011) I initially wanted to wait until I'd finished Maria before I started on this one, but if I'm going to make it to Ayacon, my budget for October cosplays is going to suffer and this is the main one I want to do for October Expo. I've started sourcing stuff and looking up how much it's going to cost, and I've drawn up a basic plan for the shoulder pads. I feel like I need something to work on so I think I'll start on them soon, and have a test run with some polycotton rather than start with the more expensive vinyl and get it completely wrong (which, let's face it, is going to happen). I may actually have to use cotton for the real thing because I'm pretty sure our sewing machine won't like leatherette ^_^;. |
