Description
This was my first hand made cosplay and I'm really proud of it. Sailor Moon has been my all time favourite cartoon character as a child so I thought I'd make a cosplay based on her Classic Fuku just to start off easy. I bought an ice-skating pattern and bought Lycra material for the leotard base then Cotton Lycra for the rest of her outfit. I bought red Gogo Boots and covered the top with White PVC and attached a gold moon on top. My wig was bought from ebay but I had to restyle it to make it look better. The gloves I bought, but they need remaking and the brooch and wand were the real role playing toys. Although this costume had already been debuted at a convention, it still is only 90% done due to the fact that the gloves and hip roll need re-doing, the costume needs to be fixated with snaps instead of velcro (which was used to hold up things such as the bow to make it non-floppy). I need to make the sleeve rolls and the little gems that Sailor Moon wears on her odangos. Overall, for a first home-made cosplay, this isn't bad, but like I mentioned above, it needs a bit of sprucing up :)
