Costume Information

Cost : £45.11

Wes Weasley is a salesman for Handy-Dandy Super Villain Appliance Distributors Ltd (HDSVADL). He first appeared in AoStH to sell Robotnik various contraptions that would capture that pesky groundhog ("HEDGEHOG! HEDGEHOG! Sonic the Hedgehog!"). Scratch and Grounder kept failing to catch Sonic, despite the clever and expensive products, so Robotnik forced him to oversee one of their attempts. He managed to sneak away when they caused the new device to backfire.
He made several other appearances in the series, often as a major character.

I absolutely loved Wes. When my AoStH watching consisted of 2 videos, his debut episode was on one of them, and was my second favourite (first being The Robotnik Express, simply due to the train). Last year, I was asked to animate an intro for the fansite www.aosth.co.uk - this one starring Weasley promoting the site (complete with the original voice actor, Michael Donovan).

Now, I want to cosplay him. AoStH for the win.

Money-back guarantee, you said. (Posted 20th June 2011)

Still waiting for the briefcase, but apart from that I'm ready to work for HDSVADL.

Lots of progress! (Posted 14th June 2011)

The hat has red trim. We just sewed a new ribbon over the old one.
The glasses have had the novelty lenses taken out so I can actually see.
The jacket has had the lapels sewn down and most of the plaid pattern has been drawn on with a permanent marker. It's not very smart at the moment, but it looks alright.
Images to follow.

Hooo boy (Posted 10th May 2011)

The jacket arrived, as did a pair of glasses I forgot I bought.
It's not what I expected...

It's very cheap, and doesn't look like a suit jacket. The collar is slightly padded, and doesn't extend round the back. Plus it doesn't button up.
On the other hand, it's a jacket. I've spent months looking for the right jacket, and there haven't been any perfect matches. It's going to be modified anyway, and it's not like I'm going to wear it much.

Now to find the fabric paint...

Slowly coming together (Posted 10th May 2011)

Finally, an update.
I've managed to find a jacket. It's part of a gangster costume, and I had to buy the whole jacket/trousers/hat set just to get it. It's plain yellow at the moment, so I'll have to find some fabric paint or something to paint on the plaid stripes.

Trousers, shirt and shoes have all been located. I'm fairly certain I have a briefcase somewhere.

It begins (Posted 5th January 2011)

The hat arrived. It needs a red trim.

That's all.
