Pez- Thanks! Bet you could do it too, if you only used wood, cardboard, foam sheets and nothing that has to be moulded, bent etc. :p Sawing, sanding and cutting only!

Wig (Posted 10th February 2011)

Bought a wig! Nice colour blonde mix, and doesn't look too bad on me except for me just looking weird as a blonde in general. :p
Dreading having to cut and style it though..

Staff and fabric (Posted 15th January 2011)

The basics of the staff are nearly done.
I need to
- smooth the sawed edges out with wall filler and sanding (and repeat wall filler etc)
- get an actual staff to fix the bottom and top arts on to
- paint it all gold
- weather it a bit
- make the jewels, for which I've got casting resin etc, but not the right moulds yet..

And I've just ordered fabric, with a very good discount (which makes up a bit for getting a good, but expensive wig). It's a polyester & viscose mix, which is not ideal, but it will be crease-free at least - am a bit sick of costumes going crinkly.

Still haven't decided if I'm going to paint the designs on, or applique..
