I FINISHED IT I FINISHED IT I FINISHED IT ... I've been planning this for over a year and working on it, veeeery slowly and erratically, for about four months. I finished it in a flurry of activity a couple of weeks before Kitacon (and am now resolved to never sew anything with piping again oh dear god). In fact it ended up with me and a couple of friends sewing buttons in the hotel room on Saturday night, and then the fastenings wouldn't hold so I had to actually be sewn into it on Sunday morning... Which was, er, interesting. So there's work still to be done, and if nothing else I wasn't happy with many of the photos we took. I will definitely be wearing this again~ ETA: I wore it again! To Hyper Japan! With an America! From America! She doesn't have a cosplay gallery online so I've just credited her with her online handle! And look, now there are good photos of the costume! This was /so much fun/.
