| Featured in issue #212 of PLAY magazine. :) A definate for MCM Expo May 2011. It's been a long, rocky road with this thing. When I first thought about it at October Expo last year, my friends jokingly suggested it would be impossible. I like impossible. So after a month gathering materials and working out shapes, I started and.. uh... and... I'm still going, 8 days before expo. Sucks to be me. BUT. It's nearly there now, so close, so close. I hope I see you at expo. And be so kind as to not bump into me. <3 Will be in the saturday Masquerade in expert with a FANTASTIC Vincent Valentine, so kudos to DarkNyte for his wonderful cosplay and letting me Masq. with him. :P It's been tough in places as you can probably imagine. I started with the headdress and claws, then boots, then worked inwards. Wings have been particularly troublesome as I've never made them before. Originally they had a folding mechanism but I've learnt that engineering = unreliable and crap. And so I enlarged them and made them look a little nicer instead. I hope they do the character justice and are in proportion! ======================= AFTER EXPO EDIT Had super fun wearing this, thanks to everyone that took a picture and sorry to everyone I bumped into with the wings.>___< I perfected the sideways crabwalk through gaps towards the end of sunday :P I really enjoyed wearing it, and Chaos will be worn again for sure! | |
