| I revamped my Kraehe original costume to look more like how a real ballet Odile costume would look. I'm convinced that Kraehes black feather edging to her tutu skirt is inspired by the soft feather-like effect of real ballet tutu's which have dagged edges, as in Odile's tutu costume from the ballet Swan Lake. So I added some gold lace detailing around the tutu skirt. I then dagged the tutu net frills, ie cut the points into the net skirts outer edges. Strictly speaking dagging should be done to the net tulle before it is gathered and formed into the skirt (because it is a lot easier to do with the tulle lying flat), but I didn't want to dis-assemble the net frills, so I managed to dag the edges with them in situ. Feather arm puffs combined with stocking arm gloves (borrowed from Velma Kelly cos) added a bit more style for the arms. Finally, combined costume with sheer black tights and some patent high heels..because I think the costume looks Fab like this - and it's sort of demi point. ^^ --------------- London Expo Oct 2010 - Sat I loved wearing it at Expo, and got some nice pic requests, which is always good. Member-XI - Thank you. I LOVE ballet..so much that I think I have picked a few things up and it shows in my poses. Hands are very important in ballet, and deportment. :) Ballerinas always look elegant and refined. They are beautifull.
Freyarule - Thank you ^_^. The stall was prob Tab's..I had a great time chatting with Tab and crew from CosI. Reminds me, I should have some pics of that in my camera still. :P
Alytheluvly - Thanks Ally ^_^ Yeah that was so funny. The expression on Marks face when I opened the door ..He was like, Oh!! urrrr *double take at the door number...confusion...* Then he saw Neil and the penny dropped. He was pretty convinced for a moment. :p

Well Expo is sooooo big it's easy to miss loads of stuff. I really enjoyed wearing this new version of the cos. Defo will wear it some other time. Next year is my first Con..Kita.. may be wear it again for this. :)

I met a girl on fri cosplaying Princess Tutu and she could stand en pointe. She was with her sister who was cosplaying Princess Kraehe. PTutu is growing in popularity in cosplay. :)
You really, really look like a woman on these, the make up is ace, and the cleavage thing does work. I hope you're ok with this, I meant it as a compliment!
Wyrdsister- Aww Thank you Steph ^_^ I really am comfortable with my feminine side, so to hear these comments actually makes me happy. Crossplaying is the only time I feel pretty (and it's a feeling I like) So yeah thanks I do take it is a fantastic compliment. :)
