| the Jak and Dax series is probably one of my all time favourites, and i'm rather fond of Jak the reluctant hero with the wise-ass ottsel for a friend. Jak 3 saw a rather solid change in his design, going much more towards a survival theme, although adapted from his Jak2 outfit. Personally its probably my favorite design, especially for the armouring work. I've finally got around to doing this because i found a site for the main concept artist of the series (www.bobrafei.com) and Tofu found herself somewhat hooked on Keiras design; some very minor cajoling on her part later and here i am again, trying to cobble Jak together. I currently have a deep blue top, white trousers and sufficiently large boots, along with a tonne of buckles and lots of craft foam. I'm also going to be using my own hair for this, bleaching and then dyeing it in the week before Amecon. I've mostly planned everything out now, i'm just waiting for my next 2 days off to go and get stuff to cobble into goggles and piles of suede for the remaining bits. This costume also looks like its going to involve a fair bit of fake weathering and dye work to get the worn sun-bleached & sandstorm look. | |
