| I've always had an afinity to Cid anyway, and it started way back with the original game. To keep it short, i was 'gifted' the nickname of Cid for more than a few similar personality traits. As for this costume, I'd done a horrendously poor FF7 Cid for Ame04 (my first con), AC screenshots had started turning up and so i thought why not? If i ever use this again (unlikely now its had 4+ outings), the goggles need replacing to say the least. The boots i have are my Madfish monstrosities, even though i know he wears combat boots i've been unable to afford (previous years) and now find any half decent ones. The gloves are deerskin biker gauntlets i ordered from the US a month or so ago; my original pair were given as a bday present and then someone thieved one of them back at Ayacon 05. The rest is fairly self explanatory given its not a complex costume, and asides the gauntlets and goggles, the rest of it is mostly clothing i had anyway or use on a day to day basis. I suppose its the definition of lazy cosplay! | |
