| Doing this with Koiice and SupaNoodle86 and Zedela! - I get to be the sour puss for a change xD. I am currently bringing the items together to make this cosplay. I bought some black snow boots to turn into Kai's boots. Will need to add on the red and silver details. I have bought Blue Drill Material off Ebay and hopefully it's good quality to be able to turn them into Kai's pants. I bought two meters of the stuff so hopefully all will be well. Still need to figure out a way of making his belt buckle though. I have a rough idea of how to do it but we shall see ^^ Gloves will be red material with grey wristbands and some red elastic. The armor part of it will be craft foam, paper mache and covered in silver leather type material like my Sora shoulder pads where. I will go to a material shop to pick the Scarf material and pick up the craft foam. I have bought blue Snazaroo face paint. ~~~~~~ Update ~ 20th November 2010 ~ Nearly everything is complete on this cosplay and I really enjoyed it ^-^ I only have the wig and pants to complete. Currently working on trying to get the annoying Dranzer F Beyblade and the Dranzer Shooter. (A lot harder to find when you are actually looking for them XD) Anyway I;ll be cutting the pattern out for the pants later but I need to get some blue thread on Monday. Wig I won't be getting till beginning of December so yeah *pout* XD Hardiest part so far was the gloves ^^ Easiest part was the shoes 8D --- Update ~ 30th November 2010 ~ Everything complete other than the wig. I really hate the pants they gave me so much hassle =/ Donno if I'm totally happy with them yet though. I may decide on making another pair. But for now they are good ^^. Within a week I shall have the other wig I need to make the Kai wig an be able to class this cosplay as complete ready for May Expo 2011. The lovely Koiice is making me a Dranzer plushie to go with this cosplay ^^ Still looking out for a Dranzer Shooter and Dranzer F Beyblade =/ bleh xD ------ Update ~09 December 2010~ I got hold of the second wig for Kai and am currently in the middle of attaching it to the base wig and styling it. Kai is complete soon after this and temp photos will be taken soon. Update ~24/11/12~ Kai has served me well over the past few years. Now is the time to get this costume Upgraded! I have major plans for V force Kai and Dranzer so this version, This includes; New Top Third version of Joe (scarf) =-=; never going to be happy with this XD New boots (old ones have holes in soles) New Arm guards New Belt Buckle All manor things really. I love my pants they may need taking in by the time May comes as I am hoping to lose some weight! Boots version 2 (Posted 2nd May 2013) Here are my new sexy leather Kai Hiwatari shoes! A 100% better than my old pair Which are also dead from ALOT of use ^^; But I am mega proud of this pair! They reallllllllllllly do look the part personally! So can't wait to wear them with the rest of the outfit! (Getting to test it all out this weekend super excited!) |

Edits and stuff (Posted 23rd April 2013) For May Expo 2013 once again Kai is getting an upgrade (Bascially almost everything XD) The Wig; The wig has had a base change, The back of this wig has changed to a lighter more bluer shade to closer match the reference and it looks so much better now! Shoes; I have proper leather shoes which I soon will be editing into his bad ass boots Gloves; Totally remaking these bad boys! No more paper machéd spikes for me >D Scarf; This is my 4th Scarf now? I'm never happy with it XD I have actually completed this scarf now hopefully this will be the last time too! Top - New top! No more dimond like shapes on my top and this is not as see though either thank god =-= I might need to take it in alittle more though seems alittle baggy Belt Buckle - I have a new one! I did make one from Fimo but i lost it (Found it now though!) But as sexy as the fimo one was I REALLY REALLY like this new one I made *nod nod* Worth burning my thumb and getting a blister on it for! |

Top Stage 2 (Posted 19th November 2010) This is stage two of the Kai top. I took the base top and cut out thick strips of Red Drill fabric I had left over. It's the same material I used on my boots and gloves so everything matches. I then hand sewed them onto the top. The top collar was done red as I remember him having it there too in one episode. |

Make up test (Posted 18th November 2010) Here is the test for Kai. I just wanted to put the triangles on since the face paint arrived XD Anyway this is also showing the base wig ill be using for the dark blue part of his hair. It's my old Hinata wig which needs work but I can't do much till i have the other wig to attach to it. I painted my eyebrows too the colour of the other wig but it obviously makes no sence right now ^^; |

Glove progress (Posted 16th November 2010) Currently working on spikes and belt buckle. Here is photo of the spike base. Its abit shorter now than when the photo was taken. I have made them in craft foam and will be paper macheing them later ^^ |

Kai's boots (Posted 16th November 2010) Here is one completed boot. Currently working on the other. this is a boot bought from primark and edited. The Red section is made of Craft foam covered in Red Drill fabric. Hand stitched onto the boot and Silver in the correct places. I think it came out rather well ^0^ |

Boots (Posted 15th November 2010) Working on Kai's boots this evening. They are simple to do ^^. I bought some black boots from Primark about £5. I bought Silver paint to paint the bottom of the shoe Silver. Currently waiting for them to dry. I have cut out in Craft Foam the red section of his shoe and am sewing on red material onto that. Photos soon. |

Beginning of Gloves (Posted 11th November 2010) Here is the beginning of Kai's gloves. My main problem is in the middle it becomes baggy. I may have to put another peice of Elastic in to get them not so baggy. I know it won't be how Kai has them then but at least It wouldn't have flappy sections and be more glued to my arm then 8D - I donno I'll see how it goes. Ignore the black bobble around the wrist... It's just so you can see what It should look like once I attach the silver section there. |
