Because her Garnet is what inspired me ^_^ and she was the one who gave me the final push to actually get her done x. Updating cosplay ready for Next Expo! (Posted 21st April 2013) Due to money being quite bad at the moment (probs something to do with the fact i'm paying to go to LA in July and Florida in September @.@) I had to put one of my cosplays on hold which left me a day free. I decided to do Garnet as I never really got to complete her the last time I wore her =/ I've bought an electric sander so im going to be doing a lot of work to her racket which I wasn't happy with at all, Finally putting the belts on her and also sorting out that god damn wig @.@ Only thing is I don't know if I still have the wig Oo So if I can't find it i'm gonna do her with short hair =D |

Finished result (Posted 31st October 2011) I actually really loved being garnet and i had a lot of really nice comments about it - which is weird because it's ugly orange spandex xD but oh well. I didn't have time to put the belts on =/ both my cosplays for expo were rushed due to moving twice and getting a full time job and wedding plans >.< But i will be making a version 2 one day for J-Po who will be meh beatrix! =D x. |

Very nearly finished (Posted 28th October 2011) I've done near enough everything for Garnet now! YAY! All that's left to do it style the wig a little (which will be done on the day) paint some more detail to the racket (which is now pink detail not orange because i was stupid enough to pick up white paint instead of yellow >< so red + white = pink) which is the little lines on the other side of the racket and then brown paint in the inner bit. And i have done the belts but i just have to attach them to the bodysuit (which i have sewed - it went wrong so i unpicked it all *rage!*) which i will now be doing with fabric glue because i'm lazy and that will be done on the day. |

update from 19.10.11 (Posted 19th October 2011) I will be making one of Garnet's staffs - i just don't know which one xD I think maybe one of her rackets coz i always preferred them in the game x. I can't actually believe i'm doing this xD But i'm now planning to wear this for the saturday of october expo xD Reason being that it's the only one on my planned list that i could get done in time since i already have the base bodysuit and base wig =P I should hopefully *crosses fingers* also be getting the weapon made for this x. I know a lot of people are thinking that i'm mental for doing this, yes i realise i'm not exactly small however Garnet is someone i used to actually want to be when i was a kid, she's an important character for me and tbh Cosplay for me is not about size, about looking good or anything like that. It's about having fun and so I really don't care xD I'm so excited to finally cosplay her though =D x. 19.10.11 - A lot of people have asked me so i'm just going to say my progress so far here xD. I have got all the materials for the belts and am currently making those. I still need to start on the hair clip which i hope to do tonight. I still have to add the highlights into the wig and style the front bangs a little. I have ordered my contacts and they should be arriving shortly. My weapon is currently in five different pieces. the three "toe" bits, the main paw part and the rod. I have to find my hacksaw so i can shorten the rod a bit (I've already curled it using a Heat Gun) and then i'll be attaching all the pieces after i've done that. And then resining it all and plastering it all up and sanding and then it's painitng time ^_^. and then she's complete! =D x. |

Wig Bought (Posted 13th January 2011) Finding and Buying the orange bodysuit yesterday inspired me to work more on this cosplay. I bought my wig today which is a beautiful colour and i shall be styling it once it arrives. I'm also going to make my diet a bit more intensive, i've lost a stone so far and will continue the diet and do more exercise to 'tone' up so i don't look horrible in the bodysuit lol. I'm hoping to do this cosplay by October Expo. |

Start (Posted 13th January 2011) I bought an orange bodysuit today that i will be editing into Dagger's orange Jumpsuit. I found it really cheap and basically needed to get it. |

lmao ive just made a blog about how to make it ish lol it isnt that scary :P just remember its the zig zag stitch you need to use but you will be fine in both sense of the word lmao you truely will make an aceface garnet :D if you get it done in time bring it to kitacon :D :D
Yeah i used the zig zag stitch when i was working with velvet, it makes life so much easier xD And oooh i shall have to look at this video of youuurs, where is it? on youtube? x.

the bodysuit turned out great! I'm not sure if it's a figment of the camera's imagination, because your base and fabics in an earlier photo don't seem to catch the light, but it looks like you made the clothing out of something silky and expensive. Princess appropriate, lol.
