|The zip broke twice the bastard, so I had to dismantle the dress and remove the back and clean up all the edges so now it's twice as awesome cause it laces up.|
There are 840 inches of gatherred satin in the ruffle skirt hem and 700 more in the roses which were then attacked with calligraphy ink for contrast. The big roses required the making of 16 individual petals each and the beading string was hand stitched on as were all the roses. Hand stitching and ruffles....
The corset bodice is fully lined and boned and laces up at the back with two lots of different lace hand sewn above and below the waistline ruffle to break up the too blue dress.
Shoe covers were a pain, so much more fitted than boot covers and had to make them stay up by hand stitching the beads into loops around the shoe strap. They are fully soled and easy to walk in.
Armlets not too hard, more ruffles, more beads, more roses.
Petticoat was some ivory lace from calico laine, orderred very last minute XD It is seperate from the dress and has an elasticated waistband with another large flower with ribbons, similar to the hair decoration, at the back which pulls through and sits just beneath the lace up back. There are 900 inches of blue lining and 900 inches of a white floral print ploycotton gatherred into the hem to give the overall dresss contrast and body.
Wig has been restyled again... OTL Was originally a short wig and has since had 8 packs of 50 inch extensions wefted into the back to create the trail of hair. Braids done by myself. Also extensions added in the top, front and sides of the wig to give it more body. Will be styled some more with the help of Emi as I am not very good at it OTL
