| Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce/Multi Raid 2 unfortunately did not make it out of Japan but the character designs did. The second I laid eyes on Yu Meiren's fury I knew I had to make it; the colours were beautiful and the design itself was screaming a challenge at me. I did change a little of the design itself just to make it more comfortable to wear and so it wouldn't be too much for my skills which are still slowly developing. One of the things I adjusted was the the top that actually cut down the middle and exposing much breast . . . I refused to do it and thus made a very slight alteration to ensure that I would be comfortable wearing it. My favourite part of the cosplay was the tiara - made from craft foam and air-dry clay. It turned out to be so beautiful but extremely delicate. It did break at the Expo but thankfully the Cosplay Desk had supplies for a quick fix. Also during its travels much of the detail came off (mainly the branches) and was unfixable, but nevertheless I was so happy with how it looked. What really made this cosplay a challenge was that I only had reference images that were blurry screenshot from game play videos and I had no picture of the back, so I had to really improvise and look at other Koei designs so that I could produce something appropriate. Overall I was so happy with this, everything about it was wonderful and I really do hope it will be a long time before I retire it =] | |

Update (Posted 28th March 2011) Today I had a make-up test, and I approve of my choice (Barry M) as the red is wonderfully vibrant I just need more practice applying it. |

Progress!! (Posted 25th January 2011) Today I began structuring the top as you can see in my uploaded photo. It proved to be quite a challenge and took quite a while to figure out a logical pattern. You can also see my attempt to cover my breast up and when t is finished my tummy won't be completely on display either . . . well I hope. Some of it is still only pinned so it looks a bit messy, but I am pretty chuffed It is going to take me ages to do this top but I can't wait to finish it ^^ The photo does unfortunately make the fabric look dull, but it is in fact a lovely red. |

Reference Research Results (Posted 1st November 2010) Well I found I picture of the back in a very low quality game play video. Firstly it shows that the hair is in a bob style and not her default's braided style which is quite nice actually as it will be a little cheaper and less hassle to style ^^ (I hate styling wigs ¬¬) |
