Description
For as long as I can remember, I've loved the elements (Fire, Water, Thunder, Earth etc, etc) and wanted to create some sort of costume for one. I've recently started drawing costumes for them and decided to do fire. I love the costume I've got planned, might add a few bits and pieces as I go along though.
The colour scheme is reds, oranges, yellows anything fire like. Don't know when I'll start doing this, but I'm always reving to get it started sometime.

Possibly making a group for this with a whole group of Element costumes. Any type of Element you think of would be greatly appriciated to the group. People have different views on what Elements there are. :3

Fire: DuskatNight
Water: FusionRose
Lightning: NachtAngel
Earth: BabemRose
Air: Phee
Metal: Eltia's Friend
Spirit: Eltia
Ice:

Never realized that this would be such a popular idea to do. XD <3 Hope it goes well.

For the Saturday of Expo.

Don't rush yourself on it! The more detail you can add the better it'll look. Plus it won't be until next year so you have plenty of time.

Journal

Dyeing the Skirt (Posted 30th August 2012)

Finally dyed the skirt tonight along with a few other things. I've left it to dry overnight and it should be done by morning. Then all I need to do is add the detailing, which means quite a few beads and possibly sequins to sew on.
Shoes shouldn't be that hard, but considering I need them in red, I'm kind of iffy about it.

Wig (Posted 9th May 2012)

Right. I've sorted out the wig. I've cut down my Cissnei one as it was tangled and old and bleurgh. It not looks a lot better and the extentions are all clipped in.

Skirt (Posted 6th May 2012)

Scrapping the skirt because it looked terrible. I'm starting a new one which will hopefully look better. c: I'm hoping to dip-dye it red at the bottom. Hopefully this time it'll look better.

Shoes (Posted 3rd March 2012)

I've come to the conclusion after thinking about this for a while that instead of boots, I'm probably going to go with red pumps and some long orangey socks. I don't think boots would look quite right with the skirt I'm making and even though I hate them, pumps would look better. I just need to find some red pumps and orange socks. :3

Detailing. (Posted 3rd January 2012)

Well the detailing is being a pain in the arse. I'm having to sew on loads of beads which are for the armwarmers seeing as I'm going around the flame patterns. Next step after this is to do the other sequined detailing round the armwarmers with the small red sequins I have and then do some detailing on the shirt. With more beads. It should be fun. But also rather annoying. Hopefully it'll turn out good enough.

Cape (Posted 30th May 2011)

Right. I have recently started working on the Cape for this costume.
I managed to find some fantastic material for the base of the cape. It's a lovely shade of red. This is basically a journal of how I'm making/made this cape.
Step 1 - Cut out the right shape of the cape, the length and the width for you. Step 2 - Draw in pen, pencil, chalk etc etc the fire shapes on the red fabric. Depending on how many shades you want will determine how heavy you want the cape, how many sections you want and how complicated you want to make this.
Step 3 - Cut out each section and leave the top bit red to be able to attach to the shoulders of your top.
Step 4 - Pin the different sections onto the different colours (Yellow, Orange etc) and then cut them out.
Step 5 - Pin the sections together and then hand sew the different sections together to create the rest of the cape.
Step 6 - OPTIONAL. Get a crap load of sequins of roughly the same colours as well the material colours and sew them around the edge where you've hand sewn the sections together.

That's my rough guide to making the cape for this costume. If you have any questions, please ask.
