Latex you smelly beast you! (Posted 26th December 2008) Nightmares slowly getting there, done about 4 layers of Liquid Latex for his skin on his back, another 20 i'd say to go. But its getting there, adding texture as well :D Ordering Styrene in the new year so I can start making Nightmares Armour, then focus on pappier macheing his arm and making all the bits and bobs for that, it'll be fun :D So yeah, i'd say he's about 20% done :) |

Alwright! (Posted 26th October 2008) OKAY so part 1 of his claw is done. I've got the basic shape out of chicken wire, 3 seperate parts. Now to plaster bandage this baby up, papier mache, then papier puree to give its a more even finish then something over the top and whambam its done hah. I am quite tired btw xD |

We're making Number 2 version nightmare ready for minami, but unfortunately we won't have it at expo because we're doing different costumes then.

I'm in the middle of making a helm at the moment, what method/materials did you use?
Materials are Craft Foam and Styrene 0.50" thick. You cut the pattern out of paper, then cut out of foam, glue styrene on top, cut around the foam leaving a border then use heat to shape as necessary and cut away the extra after that.
Patterns were quite easy as well, just looking at the image, drawing up and adjusting where needed.
