big boss is my all time fave computer game character, ive been working on his cosplay for about a year on a off adding little bits etc but amecon 2008 will be his first time out at a con, i picked desert tiger stripe as very one seems to pick the green camos and i wanted some thing different so i dont want my compressors to run out :D so far i have the camo and some of the webbing and a big ebay list of every thing else, im making the radio he has and will post pictures after i start it tonight, the only thing that is missing really is the snap hooks for the webbing but im trying to get some from work (yay for working with military equiment). EDIT made the radio and knife and they are ready to be painted, ive sorted out the gloves but they could do with being darker (will post, ive sorted out the snap hooks and got pic ref of the rigging, every thing else wil have to wait till pay day. EDIT 19 May: pay day as been and gone and im now a lot closer to finshing the cosplay off, only things now left are the underarmour, wig and funny items to put in my webbing packs. the beard is nicely on the way and my partner ruth is now cosplaying the boss so we're getting to work on that as well now :D is has to be the most planned cosplay yet as its nearly finshed two months not two days before amecon lol EDIT 14 June: painted up the radio and added the mic and ear piece, still waiting on stuff from ebay its been about 4 weeks now grrrrrrr. other then that its all coming along fine EDIT 15 June: picked up underarmour top, lycra (for the joy) and started on the joy's knife. thinking of moding my airsoft m14 to make joy's patriot gun. EDIT 20 June: finshed the knifes, my webbing has turned up and been modded (will post pictures), ordered wig and boots for ruth off cosworx its all now down to making the harness after ebay failed me but have found some where better. so nearly finshed and its only june XD EDIT 19 July: FINISHED super happy time this is the first time ive finished a cosplay before getting on the train togo to a con, looking back its only taken me about 15hrs to make as most of it was got online from army shops and the likes but that did push the cost up alot. im very happy with how it came out and ive picked up some props as a bouse lol
