| First worn at Starfury-Serenity 2. This was origianlly planned for Collectormaina 8 as part of a large histroical cosplay group. I chose to crossplay as we had a large number of ladies in the group but only a couple of guys. Due to my sewing machine dying it was delayed to Serenity 2. It was quite a challange to make as it was my first major attempt at a histroical costume. I had also never done anything military so was quite scared before starting it. The hardest part was the jacket. It proved a nightmare to talior (even to a seasoned seamtress like me). I ended up making it twice in order to get the fit right. The breeches were surprisingly easier than I thought they would be. The belts were hand made by me as well as the sword. The easiest part was the shirt and waistcoat. I enjoyed poncing around like an evil Brit for the night. I didn't enjoy sparying my hair dark for it though. I decided very early on that a wig wouldn't work with the hairstyle. Definitely will stick to blond characters! It was certainly a change to what I would normally cosplay. I dd enjoy the challange but I doubt I'll so anything similar again. There were 48 buttons in total and I really hate doing button holes! After this I didn't do any button holes for about four months XD. I'm making the helmet for a later date as I've been offered the change to pose on a horse for cosplay photos. | |

Sword remake planned (Posted 1st July 2012) Whilst packing up to move house I found the sword broken. I remembered that it broken during a previous house move and I had intended on fixing it. Having a closer look I think it will be easier to remake it. |

Amecon 2012 (Posted 12th May 2012) I decided that even though I enjoyed wearing a dress at Kitacon's Ball I would much prefer to be in crossplay. So for Amecon's Ball I'll be looking to get Tavington fixed up (minus the sword). I've been wanting a chance to rewear him again for better photos and Keele Hall would be a brilliant setting (if I get the chance to photograph there). |

Photo-shoot and remakes (Posted 26th January 2011) A friend of mine (Naurarwen) has kindly agreed to help me out with doing a photo-shoot for this. I'm going to use the change to repair and add things. I'll be making the helmet, horse blanket and new sword belt. I'll be adjusting/remaking the breeches as the current ones are now way too big for me. I hope to get hold of better boots. I also would love to be able to wear blue contacts as I have never had the correct eye colour for this character. Jason's eyes are very distinctive so I would really like to make sure I have the correct eye colour. |

'Phowarrr...I'd have abit of Jason Issacs anyday!'
That's gorgeous!
Tavington is by far my favorite character in The Patriot! Awesome !!!
Thanks. I wasn't sure if anyone would reconise the character as i'm not sure how popular the film was.
Oh my, I love this so much! Wear it again! Wear it again!
...historical army uniforms are the best thing EVER.
Incredibly smart and neat, just like Tav. I'm in awe of your button hole patience, it must have taken forever.
Thanks everyone. Amy-Lou, yes the button holing was the longest job on the cosplay. Luckerly I have a machine that can do button holes otherwise I would of gone insane trying to do the lot by hand, Lol!
Incredibly smart! You've certainly done it justice! Huzzah!
Thank you ever so much, Youngy638

Tavington is one of Isaacs best roles ever!
