Description
***GOING BACK TO IN PROGRESS**
I want to make some edits to this. The base dress and crown will stay the same. I plan to remake the clips, chestplate and tabard, mostly because these got a bit ruined in the rain last time I wore the costume....

Hopefully will have this done by Amecon 2012~

Zelda is my favourite game character EVER. This is my first cosplay of her, and I hope it wont be my last!

First, accessories:
The crown is made of a Claire's Accessories Tiara with cardboard and papier-mache stuck to it. And painted.
The clips are also cardboard, but stuck to hairclips and painted white. The detail was done with a black paint pen thing which smelled of writing icing....
I made the chestplate out of cardboard, and i painted gold
And guess what the belt's made of? Cardboard again 8D Lots of little boxes on elastic.
Hurrah for recycling shoe boxes ^^

The dress:
The skirt and shawl are made of the same pinky-lilac cotton, the blue band at the base of the skirt is blue ribbon of different widths.
The top half of the dress is two strappy tops cut to size and sewn together.
The blue decoration is blue cotton, painted with acrylics and fabric paints by me. It went kind of wonky, and is a little smudged because of the rain but I dont mind ^^
My favourite bit is the bag. My mum sewed it and i painted it to look like a shield ^^

Sewing credit goes to my mum ^^ I did parts here and there, but most of the work, like hemming was done by her.
I'll upload pics as soon as it's finished, and i can get a nice enough day to have a photoshoot in my back garden 8D

Very lovely, Lou! :) I hope Holly remembered to give you my gloves today! Otherwise I will have to raid her room and find out what she's done with them. XD

You’ve done a great job on the little details of the costume, the accessories look fab. The bag/shield is also a brilliant idea!
