Hooray (Posted 28th February 2012) Since I started this costume I've wanted a red, oval-shaped gem for Neyla's circlet, and today while I was in the fabric store I just happened to look at the gems to see if they had any - and they did! :D Good things come to those who wait :B |

Woot (Posted 12th October 2011) Finally bought the lycra I needed for this. Originally I was going to order it off the web, but today when I was at the fabric store I found lycra in the colour I needed for just £1.72 a metre. :| Madness. So I bought it, yaaaay :D |

Headscarf progress! (Posted 20th May 2011) I wish I'd done the headscarf a bit differently (and had more fabric to play around with) but hindsight is a wonderful thing, lmao. Anyhoo, here's some photos! The first one is of me just wearing it and being a poser :B And the second one is when I had the idea to wear the shirt I'd already finished with the scarf. Still got to add the yellow patterns, but yay progress :D |

Headscarf~ (Posted 23rd April 2011) Started the headscarf today; I've cut the pieces out and they're ready to be pinned/sewn :D However I haven't done that just yet, because I'm debating how to do the yellow pattern on it. |

A small start... (Posted 17th March 2011) I've been ordering samples of lycra from various websites - instead of painting myself purple, I've decided I'm gonna make a bodysuit instead to wear underneath Neyla's clothes, and I'll probably paint the purple stripes onto it. Just need to find someone willing to wear it while I paint, though... I've also started on the shirt! I have a blue turtleneck that I've outgrown (the sleeves are too short for me now) and I was going to throw it away, but it's the perfect colour for Neyla's shirt so I've taken the arms off it and cut it to the right length. I've also tacked some darts into the front to stop the armholes from gaping, so now I just need to go over them with the machine then hem the bottom of the shirt and the armholes, and it'll be done! I'll also be using the excess fabric from the sleeves and torso for the belt, as it's the same colour, so it won't go to waste. :) |

By the way, you said you weren't going to October Expo but will you be going to any other Expos? I'm planning to wear Sly again after October anyway so if you wanted we could form some kind of mini group if you'd like at some Expo, that'd be pretty awesome :D
But the only problem is that I don't go to any other cons, I only go to Expos DX I go to every one though!
Midlands is actually the one I was planning to wear Sly again for so if you'd be up for it that would be awesome! :D Shame your sister already has plans for it though. ):
