| A fine example of what happens when you're sat in a pub a month before an event with your cosplaying buds and someone pulls out an artbook! >_< I already have a lot of what I need to make this, except for the time of course. And no...........I'm not that buff. So, the Wetherspoons challenge..... Successfull! I'm really pleased with how Mitsu turned out, it's a very eye catching design proved to be comfortable and easy to wear AND it was one of those costumes that felt good. Had some help from the lovely Lunar_Kitten getting some of the designs on his trousers made and painted in time and the Wig was kindly styled by Miiol, although it was blowing a gale when the current photos where taken >_< Never got around to making his swords scabard, but hopefully I'll have that done for Ame. Update 19/08/08 Ame pictures now up, courtesy of Nert. Completely failed to make a new sword so I hade to fall back on a plastic backup. Weather was more wig friendly so Miiol's handywork is shown of better in these pics. | |

Dress boyfriend in white top. Check.
Scare hell out of boyfriend by cutting top with fabric scissors ... whilst he is still wearing it. Check.
Resize to fit using sharp pins. Check.
Attempt to remove top from boyfriend with pins still in place. Ouch.
Remove pins and sew top to new size. Check.
Dress boyfriend in new close fitting top. Check.
Cover said close fitting top with gauze, and attach using fabric glue. Check.
Attempt to PEEL boyfriend out of new super sticky top.
Ouch.

Shame I didn't get to see it on the day - it would have been nice to see the end product after helping to make bits throughout the process, but I'm sure we will get another chance ^_~

That would be awesome, cos it was really windy and my camera died I didnt get the shots I wanted of the wig or the perspective ones to show off the ponytail so a little styling help and direction on the day would be wicked :D
