| I go for the tough nut warrior type female characters generally speaking, but in remembering this guy I was thinking "I love his outfit" and he's an outstanding villain. I wish he had more screen time, but it gives me room to work him out a bit more. "Heh heh heh. Now, now. That's the expression I want to see! A face filled with pain and anguish, begging fearfully for help, a face quivering with anger! Go, on! Get angry! Suffer! Be sad! That would truly be the ultimate offering to me and my great god!" "Total annihilation of life, what a fine thing! Death to all that lives! Destruction to all that has form! That is indeed my desire!" "My god will not tolerate any life forms in Algo! Everything must be wiped out. And I, with these very hands, will do just that!" | |

Final Paintwork Stage (Posted 15th May 2011) I am now in the midst of finishing of the paint work on the frame. Then I will varnish it, and then it will be 100% complete. I have also done a couple of costume runs. |
|
Coming up to the final furlong (Posted 3rd May 2011) Everything is really getting there now. I just hope the attachments will work to add weight on to the front to pull it down, because otherwise I need to think of another alternative to add weight. I've started the painting on the main frame now though. |
|
Armour frame (main frame) (Posted 20th April 2011) Well the main part of the frame is in swift progress now. Just need to build on to it a little more, and then I can begin work on the front attachment and then adding the papiermache. |
|
Only the frame to go! (Posted 29th March 2011) Well, I still need a long-sleeved black polo neck top, but in essence all I have to do now is complete the frame and he's done. |
|
Frame Armour (Posted 20th March 2011) I have begun work on the frame for Zio. This is another trial and error movement on my part, but I'll make it work. I'm not sure how, but that's why it's trial and error. I really want the flashing LED light! |

Welcome to the side of the crossplayer. Hehehe you will look awesome as him though.
Yeah, I'm not the crossplay type, but this guy is going to be one of the ONLY exceptions.
This is an amazing game and good luck. ^_^
Thanks Reba. I cannot say when this will happen, but the rare old school stuff doesn't get enough love.
Good luck! I'm sure it will look awesome. I'm not sure if I'll crossplay again though - i love the coat i wore as Zed but i felt kind of uncomfortable lol!
Well, as mentioned, it's not really my kind of thing to crossplay anyway really. It's just that I can't find anyone who has done Zio before, he's a bishy, I really like his outfit, and he's a badass. I doubt I'll consider any others any time soon though.
Zio? Hell yeah! I'm a massive Phantasy Star IV fan. Looking forward to seeing this one.
This would look amazing on you! ^_^
Haha! Thanks. Yeah I can do the 'sour puss' face alright.
This is going to rock!
Now that's what I want to see! Heh heh heh...
The progress is looking amazing! Can't wait to see this completed!
It's coming along swiftly I think. ;-)
The progress is looking really good ^_^ x.
Thanks! Chest-binding though...so not comfy.
progress looks great!
My thanks to you FuriePhoenix. ^^'
You already look the part! Fantastic progress! 8D
Thanks. I'm working hard to get him as close to 100% as I can.
fantastic!
Thank you. ^^'
I really can't get the frame to gain any height over my shoulders though. I suppose all I can do is go with the realistic approach rather than trying to make it "float" as it were.
Could you not just add a patch of insulation foam under the pauldrons to gain the lift and then attach the foam to your shoulders? It's looking ace so far.
I attached it for the first time today. If I try and do that it won't sit as forward as it does now. I have looked into additional padding, but it sits pretty comfortably as is right now. Adding any more underneath would make it move more than I'd like it to.
Thanks for the suggestion, but realistically it isn't going to work for me and would interfere with the cloak.
And thank you! ^^'
Whoa this looks awesome! Love the armour!
wow, you really suit this character, great work on the costume! :D
Thank you very much. ^_^'
Just a little more painting to do on the armour frame and he's completed.
Hell yeah, Zio!
;-) Thank you Snap.
Love the edits!
Thank you. ^^'
this was awesome!
Thanks Furie!
This cosplay is amazing :D Need to go play the game to fully appreciate it - love the photos :)
