Description
Allen Walkers -2nd uniform- with the claws, planned since April 2010.
I chose to make this because I adore the character and im a major D.Gray-man fan, plus i was short as well so it would go well with the character im planning to cosplay.
The hardest part so far would have been drawing out the pattern as i have none yet, but the hardest part next is most likely to be the zips and hood.
The easiest part so far was cutting everything out and most likely to stay that way, but the funnest part was making the claws.

of course! I mean, I'm tempted to drop one of my other cosplays and come as Deak again...

You're making really good progress by the look of it. It's a lot less stressful to get a costume done with a month to spare, if that's possible ;D

Really, i must admit i do love you deak cosplay it's really good.
Im surprised i got this far considering i have never made clothes or patterns before (kinda just picked it up when watching a friend)
i never knew how hard the 2nd uniform would be and to wear too, lets hope it's not as hot as now lol.

With the patterns, I suppose it's just a skill you pick up over time. I use clothes I already have for reference, and I have one piece of advice for sewing; make sure the sleeves are the right way round! XD It may sound obvious, but just tack the fabric together and try it on before you do anything final, even if you think you've got it right, since I've ended up having to remake part of the costume I'm working on at the moment because of this ><

Yeah i guess, i might not put sleeves on this but it really depends but if so i will put very small caps on the edge to make it look better.
Thanxs for the advice :)
Hope it turned out ok D:

Problems (Posted 30th October 2011)

I have encountered a few problems while styling my wig, but i am finding ways to fix this so i won't panic right now.
The problems i am having is that the wig is thinner than i thought, which is making it harder to style without seeing through it to the hair or wig cap. I am ordering two white wig caps to see if that helps instead of ordering a thin wig to go underneath. If anyone has any ideas of how i can fix this then do say.

Redo (Posted 23rd August 2010)

I quit the idea of have the main part of the costume being one piece, so now I have started it again and in two pieces (the jacket and skirt like part). Hopefully it should be alright, just need to look for a jacket template or draw one out which I'm not looking foward to.
If you have any ideas or pointers pllease tell me.

New wig (Posted 14th July 2010)

Today my new wig arrived from http://www.coscraft.co.uk/
I must say for second class it seemed pretty quick getting here too, i really like this wig as it isn't irritating my skin and it looks really good too.
next up is buying the hair spray to style it, buying a stand and doing more of the white jacket.
