Description
I was going to cosplay as Yuri again for this Expo, but the Tales group's Emil wanted a Marta so I finally decided to cosplay as her. This costume had many firsts for me, namely first time making skirts, sleeves, boots and props. Why hasn't I updated this infothing since I finished the cosplay...a year ago?! xD Ohwow, making this costume...was fun, I think? I don't remember! I know it took me aaaaaaall summer though, because I R SLOW. I haaaaated making the pink skirt soooo much I think I probably cried at some point. It was just a major pain and being the thing I was, I didn't look up how to make a skirt and just did what I thought would work...bad idea in this case. I dreaded making another skirt (brown) so much that I just made it a wrap instead xP The petal shirt covered the hanging ties, so it worked! I would have loved to know about bias tape back when I did this...I folded over all the edges and stuff without ironing it. RAGE. But I was so pleased with the outcome that I didn't care much in the end~ The bag....omglove<3 I knocked out the bag in 3 ish hours one night and just adored making the whole thing! Tokunaga and the velcro could use with a touch up, but that's all I don't love about it! It has sparked my love for making bags, hope I can make more for cosplaaaaays! Looking back on it, there's a load I'd like to re-do on this costume, but since the wig's gone to crap I don't think I'll be cosplaying Marta again.....(for a while) Unless I can finx the wig. Ha. Also, smallfry made the Dual-Spinner for me! <3 I don't have any photos of it though since she couldn't get it to me until after the masq and I forgot to bring it to Made in Asia...guess this means I have to cosplay Marta again because I love that thiiiiiing!! x3 Kinda looking foward to it 8D
