| So yeah...I jumped on the bandwagon ^-^' I've seen a couple of these Gijinka pictures before and thought they looked cool, and now the craze seems to have spread! I was going to Cosplay all my favourite Pokemon (Chikorita, Chimecho, Flaffy, Jirachi etc) but to be honest those designs were either too plain or...just wouldn't really suit me XD So in the end I ended up looking through all the pictures and started picking the ones with outfits I liked~ Which explains Wingull, I’m not a huge fan of the Pokemon but the Gijinka is really nice! ~.:.Stuff.:.~ Sailor Hat~Bought! (Need to add ribbon around the base) Blue wig~ Bought! Uniform~ Bought fabric!(Almost finished on the sailor top) Socks~Bought! Yellow Shoes!~ Wingull Plush~ Finished! (and now has feet XD) -1/06/08- Due to boredom yesterday (caused by my brother inviting a whole bunch of his friends over for much of the night) I decided to make a start on Wingull. So far I’ve started making the Wingull plushie to go with my costume (since I really enjoy making plushies!) so far I’ve made the main body and the tail, I’m having trouble figuring out how to make the beak though, but I’m sure I’ll figure it out! Hopefully it'll all turn out ok and wont take me too long ^-^ I'll post progress pictures up soon~ -4/06/08- Pretty much finished up the plushie today )it's just missing Feet but those are simple) Really proud of it to say I made most of it up as I went along~ Made entirely out of felt as its pretty easy to work with, downfall is it wears easier than most fabrics -_o But it'll do for now ^-^ -24/08/08- Finally got off my butt and finished off my Wingull Plushie yesterday, he now has feet! Hurrah! Also went out to Leeds and picked up most of the fabric I’ll need for the Uniform, I’m so excited! Bought my blue wig and sailor hat online, I just got to wait until they arrive! ~ -28/08/08- Since this is the first costume I’ll actually be making pretty much on my own, Unaspi helped me out to start it off, so far the main body parts done (need to cut the neck part to be a V and add the sailor collar) and have almost finished making the sleeves! Uwah I’m so proud of this so far._. My Sailor hat arrived with morning so, I’m going to ass the yellow ribbon around the bottom later today. I'll post new progress photos up later ^-^' -30/08/08- The sailor tops almost finished, I had to remake the whole top part because it didn't fit too good but it's all fine now, I’m going to need to buy myself some more material now I think -sigh- oh well! I changed the design a tad, I added a yellow stripe on each cuff and I’m going to add a yellow stripe around the Sailor collar too, Once I’ve bought myself some more ribbon ._.' I also added a line of Blue along the bottom, just because -shrug- it reminds me of a Hockey jersey at the moment XD because it's slightly baggy, with a big V neck and the coloured stripes XD I've finished putting yellow ribbon around the base of the sailor hat (went wrong first time, it's a good job I got more than I needed!) but some of the glue I used has seeped through so...I’m skilfully covering that up with some badges XD I had two spare badges lying around so I painted one up to look like a Poke’ball and the other has a Wingull painted on ^-^, progress shots tomorrow~! | |
