So. Nearly. Done! (Posted 24th October 2010) This has not been as much work as I thought it was going to be to be honest. I managed to make the coat in a couple of days and the design didn't take that long either. I think I have spent around £80 on this costume all together so far. There are some things which are not going to be finished before the expo next weekend like the full design on the back of the coat. I ran out of heat'n'bond so I will just have to wait until I can take another trip to a hobby craft. The staff may or may not be coming, I will have decide after I see how much I will be taking. I don't want to break it on the way just because I can't carry it properly! This costume has been so much fun and I can't wait for Saturday ^-^ |

A lining! (Posted 7th July 2010) So, my second layer of my Fai cosplay is nearly done, just a few thing need to be finished. I started it about 2 days ago and have spent about 2-3 hours on it. I think it is coming along ok. The main thing which I am happy about though is the lining! I have never done one before and I am going to always do one from now on, it just makes everything look so much better. When I get more fabric I will be able to create the first layer and the HUGE coat. |

Tails ^-^ (Posted 12th June 2010) Last night I spent about half an hour cutting up some scrap fabric and using my patterns to turn it into a prototype of Fai's outfit. I think it turned out ok but there are a few things which I need to tweak now on the patterns for when I finally get my fabric which I will use on the real outfit. |

This is going to bake me to death XD (Posted 9th June 2010) Well, I have decided on all the fabrics and I have made patterns for all of the layers. I have only just realised how much I am going to bake on the day of the expo with all the layers, but that will not stop me from making it or wearing it ^-^ Its going well and I can't wait to start sewing and painting :) |

I am even going to have a Kurogane to go with my Fai if I have it done in time, and I can't wait! Although I have no money I will find a way to earn it! i have to ask how on earth did you attach the bias as i cannot see ANY seams on it!
@ryaoki - I just go extremely close the the edge of the bias tape when I sew it on with my sewing machine so it gives the seamless effect.
