| The last of this little series of one-off cosplay pics is this, Seta Soujirou from Rurouni Kenshin. Yes, another member of an organisation that opposes an anime’s good characters, but whose backstory makes them sympathetic. Poor Soujirou is more or less a sociopath, his difficult childhood having made him an emotionless tool for his superiors to exploit, as well as amongst the most formidable of Kenshin’s opponents. Something about a naïve young boy who fights with a smile on his face is unnerving and fascinating. Thus, it was nice to cosplay him – indeed, any Kenshin character – at least in a minor capacity. Very little was done to this photo, because I wanted it to look nice and simple. He’s a bit different from the last two characters I did, because while they have elements of darkness and cool to their character, Soujirou is, despite being a ruthless killer, pure and selfless to excess. Plus I had to look younger! | |
